Who we are
WasteMates is a rubbish removal business based in Mooroolbark, Victoria. This notice covers the website wastemates.com.au. Questions about it can go to [email protected] or 0494 013 254.
What we collect
Details you send us. When you use an enquiry form we receive what you enter: your name, mobile number, email address, suburb, preferred contact method, the type of job, your description of it and any photos you attach.
How the site is used. If you accept cookies, we also collect information about your visit: the pages you view, the buttons and links you click, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. This is done using cookies and similar identifiers stored in your browser.
Why we collect it
We use your enquiry details to reply to you, prepare a quote and carry out the job. We use visit information to understand how people use the site, improve it, and measure how well our advertising is working. We don't sell your information.
Who helps us handle it
We use these services, which process information on our behalf:
PostHog and Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) for website analytics.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our advertising. If you submit an enquiry, your email address and phone number may be shared with Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form so that enquiries can be matched to ads.
Resend to deliver your enquiry to our inbox by email, and Telegram and Discord to notify our team of new enquiries, including the details and photos you sent.
Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Cookies and your choice
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept or decline cookies. The analytics and advertising tools listed above are only loaded if you accept. If you decline, or don't answer, they are not loaded on your device. The website and the enquiry forms work the same either way.
Accessing or deleting your information
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll sort it out.
